Mischa (ミーシャ) is a member of the Gekkostate.
Character[]
Mischa is the Gekkostate's doctor. Originally, she was a military scientist specializing in studying Eureka and the Nirvash at Tressor Laboratory. She left the military with Holland Novak after he deflected and formed the Gekkostate. She later explained that her reason for this was to continue studying and observing Eureka. She has known Eureka for years, from when Eureka was found inside the Scub Coral and brought to the Tressor lab to be studied and is particularly attentive to her well-being. She used to be married to the famous scientist Dr. Greg Egan (also known as "Dr. Bear"), but they divorced due to their opposing research tactics. She does not like the nicknames that Dr. Bear gives her, especially "My little cub." Towards the end of the series, Mischa's role is mainly looking after Talho Yuuki's pregnancy.
Mischa seems harsh and unemotional on the surface, but she's really just a very serious person. The more one pays attention to what she says, the more it becomes clear that she has her mind on the most important things, or issues that the other members of Gekkostate might ignore at their peril. For the most part, she reminds Talho and Holland often of what things they should do to keep things running well for Gekkostate, both relationship and health-wise. For example, when Holland forced Renton away from the Gekko and Eureka was mourning his absence, Mischa informed him that her research indicated that the reason why the Nirvash accepted Renton while seemingly rejecting Eureka was because it was adapting to Renton as a co-pilot and therefore it required Renton and Eureka as pilots, and that is the most important thing. Even though she separated with Dr. Bear, she was willing to work together with him in researching the truth about the Limit of Questions and Renton and Eureka's role in uniting the humans and Scub Coral. At some point, after the end of the series, she finally reached a reconciliation with him and they remarried.

- In Eureka Seven: The Day After, after remarrying Dr. Bear, Mischa resigned from the Gekkostate on April 22, 12006.
- There is speculation that she is the doctor who delivered not only Holland and Talho's child, but Renton and Eureka's daughter, Amber. If so, then there is an implication she is also the doctor who discovered the incompatibility of human and Coralian cells in high levels of trapar concentrations, and thus, had warned them the risks of having a hybrid child in such circumstances.
